First pickup of the year at Peaceful Belly - the smell of rhubarb coffee cake is wafting through the house; the kids already ate all the baby turnips so I am cooking up the turnip greens to have with Frikadellen (sort of glorified meatballs German-style) and biscuits...
Life is good.
Kira has been asking for the last two weeks almost every day when we would finally get to go out to the farm. Fervently hoping that there would be turnips in the first pickup, her wish was granted, and she was a happy girl. I never thought I would have my kids descending like hawks because, lo and behold, I am arriving home with turnips, but there you have it.
