I have a real problem with silence. Not around me or external, but internal. It seems like me head is on auto-blahblah - I try and get quiet and just be silent (not just with my mouth, but in my head) and all kinds of thoughts start popping up. And not necessarily anything relevant either, that would at least be something, but anything from what to have for dinner to homeschooling to problems to friends....
How does one turn off the internal noise machine and really just be quiet? I think right now I can last for about minute before my mind goes off on another rabbit chase or mental leap frogging exercise. Is it just practice?
