At our old church, we would have prayer nights, where the church would get together, and worship and intercede. One night, we did an experiment - how about if everyone was limited to no more than two sentences at a time? And then had to wait for others to pray before he could pray more? What happened was amazing - a mosaic of voices, thoughts being sustained and continued and enriched. Instead of everyone listening to one person pray, and pray, and pray, and then listening to another person pray, and pray, and pray, with most people just quietly "agreeing", it became a "prayer symphony". People usually too shy or quiet or self concious (in the face of those "super pray-ers") all of a sudden were free to participate. Praying WITH each other, one body, instead of individuals.....you could feel God inhabiting those praises and prayers.
